RBI raises repo rate to 5.50%: NRI home loans get costlier, deposit rates may rise more slowly
The first increase since February 2023 has already pushed up repo-linked lending rates at several banks. Deposit rates may lag, as banks are flush with FCNR(B) money sent home by NRIs this year.
